Hi, I’m Helen and I’m passionate about helping others achieve a more fulfilled life through the practice of mindfulness.
Before I discovered the techniques taught here at MIND BODY ENERGY MATTERS, I was just another soul caught up in the busyness and stress of our noisy world. Like many do, somewhere along the way I had lost the brightness of joy and contentment that had once been a source of strength for me.
Determined to change my life for the better, I decided to pursue wellness in my mental and physical life, and I’ve never looked back.
Now I help others gain their confidence and grow in joy and peace by teaching the techniques of mindfulness.
My Education
I was mentored by John Bradshaw, author of Healing the Shame that Binds and Homecoming. He invited me to assist in his workshops and it was there that I fell in love with teaching others to invest in themselves.
I trained at the Oasis Institute Centre, where I specialised in compassion and self-love. I also have a background in Creative Journal Expressive Arts and I’ve worked alongside several professionals in the field of mental and physical health.
My History
I am a mother of five and married to a wonderful man from Monaghan, Ireland. Before becoming an expert in the practice of mindfulness, I was a social worker working with adults experiencing mental health challenges , which led to a fixed interest in coping skills and developing tools for self-wellness.
Through my fair share of life challenges, I have learned to apply the course techniques to my own life and I am all the better for it.
I founded MIND BODY ENERGY MATTERS in 2015 and since then my talents have been recognized in Ireland and abroad. I had the pleasure of serving on the international panel of speakers at the WRAP Around the World Conference 2013 in Oakland, California.
Currently I offer workshops in mental health, and I when I’m not helping others I enjoy spending time with my family and participating in Tang Soo, where I’ve earned a black belt for my efforts.
Why you should take my course in mindfulness:
